About

I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and licensed addiction counselor (LAC) in South Carolina with over 10 years of experience working in professional mental health and addictions. My career has given me the pleasure to work with a vast array of clients, many who have struggled with depression, anxiety, substance use, PTSD, trauma, abuse, relationship concerns, career challenges, life changes and other adjustments. I have also had the privilege of working with active military and veterans.

My counseling style is very person-centered, allowing a strong therapeutic alliance to develop between myself and my client. In sessions, my approach is a blend of motivational interviewing, positive psychology and cognitive behavioral therapy. I find that focusing on the goals and strengths of the individual helps overcome obstacles and increase motivation for treatment and ultimate success in making change.

Taking the time to address mental health concerns or issues with substance use is the first step in the act of self-care.
