Greetings!

I am a Board Qualified Licensed Professional Counselor who finds pleasure in helping others through their "big door in, small door out" problems. I have over 21 years of mental health experience by which 19 of those years I served faithfully as a Mental Health Counselor. My experience as a counselor has taught me that there is nothing new under the sun and all people deserve to be loved, heard, and validated.

In my initial educational pursuits, I attended the University of Alabama where I gained a Masters of Science degree in Criminal Justice. I know this is a far stretch from counseling but it was in this program where I realized my passion to rehabilitate and not punish a person for their choices. In order to bring this passion to fruition, I enrolled in the Counselor Education Program at Mississippi State University and earned a Masters Degree in Counselor Education.

While serving in the capacity of a Licensed Professional Counselor, I have worked with individual with a myriad of issues ranging from Depression, ADHD, Anger Management, Psychosis, and Grief. I consider myself an integrationist because I believe in doing what works best for my clients depending on their needs. As an integrationist, I employ treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Person Centered, Solution Focus, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
