I have more than 30 years of experience promoting cultural competence in mental health, behavioral health, schools, primary care, hospitals, senior centers, re-entry programs, and organizations to enhance inclusive business operations and innovation while reducing anxiety, depression, pain management, and transitions, and in urban, rural and suburban communities. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Consultant, and Community Advocate, I have directed policies and procedures, implements strategic plans for students, teachers, families, and administrators to address the diverse needs in schools, program design, facilitated hundreds of prevention workshops, program evaluation, leadership development, staff engagement and satisfaction, risk management and cultivates ways to maximize excellence for continuous quality improvements and Best Practices for clients. I have a Master of Science in Counseling, specializing in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from San Diego State University, certifications in How to Plan, Implement & Sustain Intergenerational Programs, Geriatric Mental Health, and Primary Care Behavioral Health.
