I am an Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor in Texas. I have worked in the field for over 20 years. I have practiced in substances abuse, psychiatric issues, trauma, abuse, relational and family circumstances. I have worked with a variety of ages, genders, and races. I have practiced in Texas, Illinois, Louisiana, Georgia and Missouri.
I utilize multiple approaches based on the collaborative process between myself and the persons I am working with. I bring the technical expertise while they bring the values expertise. It is my approach to work with the person based on seeing them as a whole individual wanting to address their quality of life.
As a person who has also worked on military bases, in home therapy, inpatient therapy, nursing homes, schools, and outpatient settings, I believe people are experts in their needs, circumstances and experiences (all of which are unique to them).
