Hi there,

I am Dr. Railsback, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. LMFTs are professionals that focus on systemic solutions to problems with individuals, couples, or family systems. We are trained to view problems in context and identify patterns and help individuals/couples/families determine which patterns are working for them and which could be improved. 

I earned my master’s degree and PhD from Nova Southeastern University’s Family Therapy program and have been a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy since 2015 and Delta Kappa, the official honor society for the profession of marriage and family therapy, since 2016. I served as the Vice President of Nova Southeastern University’s Marriage and Family Therapy Club in 2016 and President of the organization in 2017. I also studied Adult Development under Dr. Robert Kegan at Harvard University in 2013.

My approach is transparent, collaborative, and solution-oriented. I specialize in depression, trauma and PTSD, anxiety, LGBTQ+, and relationship issues.

My experience has shown me that problems often lie in the environment or in handling a situation rather than something internally wrong with a person. I strive to help my clients clarify their problem, develop helpful and healthy boundaries, and assess and change patterns that are no longer working for them. I believe that insight into problems can lead to behavioral changes, as well as the other way around: behavioral changes may shed more light on issues that allow for long-term changes. Most people need a little guidance at some point.
