About
The first step to understanding our mental health is Wonder. To wonder is to desire or be curious to know something. Isn't that what counseling is about? Counseling is the journey to learning more about our inner self and understanding the unknown, unfamiliar or the stuff that's collected dust in the closet. At this stage, you are probably wondering "Who can help me?"
I am a License Professional Counselor in Oklahoma and Pennsylvania and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I have 6 years of experience counseling adults in inpatient and outpatient settings. My areas of focus are trauma, addiction, depression, anxiety, and personality disorders.
My approach to counseling is a combination of Person-Centered and Cognitive Behavioral. Counseling is a partnership between the counselor and client. I believe everyone has the tools needed to address our mental health. You might not understand how to use them or even know they are there, but that’s what counseling can help with – answering “I wonder where I put those? I wonder how to use this? I wonder where I got this from?” Each client is different so my approach to counseling is different for each client.
