About

My name is Kelly, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Virginia. I have a passion for helping women find their voice and their power in even the most difficult of circumstances. My approach My approach to therapy is tailored to the individual and primarily involves Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness education and practice, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. These approaches are evidence-based, which means they have been proven to improve the quality of life. My focus I have found my approach to be useful for women as they experience challenges such as anxiety, stress, life transitions, and depression. In using my modalities with women experiencing these challenges, I have witnessed improved quality of life and hopefulness. My communication style My approach is gentle and welcoming. First, we will establish trust and create a meaningful, professional relationship. You will feel safe and heard as we begin the work you came here to do, in a non-judgmental and welcoming environment. My journey to therapy I decided to become a therapist because I enjoy empowering women to live their best life. I have always had a heart for people, have been a natural listener, and had a natural competence in helping people to believe in themselves. My first session with you The first session will involve understanding your needs and goals as we take time to build a connection. We will take as much time as we need to get to know each other, and as you become comfortable sharing what inspired you to make the choice to improve your life.
