Hello! I graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2015 with a Master of Social Work. I am fully licensed and also obtained my CAADC (Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor) in 2019. I have a variety of therapy experience, as I have worked with families that have had CPS or Foster care involvement, with the goal of keeping children in the home and/or returning the kids into the home. A large focus of this experience was geared towards revamping parenting skills, teaching new ways to discipline, and manage tough behaviors, all while maintaining a level of self-care and a personal identity. I additionally have 3 years of experience with those diagnosed with a severe and persistent mental illness, ranging from depression/anxiety to Schizophrenia and personality disorders. I strive to assist my clients with finding solutions, improving coping skills, psychoeducation, improving communication skills, improving relationships, and self-care.

My therapy style can be what you need it to be! I am a laid back, go with the flow therapist. However, if you prefer a structured, theoretical approach to therapy, I can provide that as well! Engaging in therapy starts with feeling comfortable with your therapist and being able to build a trusting relationship, which I would love to explore and build with you! Each client is different, every person has different needs, I can work with your style to meet those needs.
