Hello! My name is Kelly and I've been a Texas-based Licensed Professional Counselor for almost 20 years. I studied Mental Health Counseling at The University of North Texas. I've worked in a variety of settings including acute inpatient psychiatric care, private practice, a residential treatment facility and school settings. I've had the privilege of working with adolescents and adults who have struggled with anxiety, relationship issues, grief and loss, traumatic events, loss of identity and depression.
It is my belief that there is hope for everyone. People don't have to stay "stuck". Change and growth is possible when someone is willing to work on it.

My goal, as a counselor, is to encourage a comfortable and trusting environment for you, as the client, where you feel supported, encouraged and valued. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solutions Focused Therapy (SFT) techniques to help you clarify your goals and begin working on solutions.

Recognizing you need help is one of the hardest things a person can do. It takes courage for you to explore counseling and begin implementing change. Congratulations!
