Hello!
I view therapy as an empowering and collaborative approach to meet your needs. It is important to me that your care is as individualized as you are. I have been working with adults experiencing life challenges for the last 8 years. I believe the vulnerability in seeking out treatment shows you have the courage to invest in yourself and the process.

My approach is validating as well as directive in order for you to feel this time is worthwhile and valuable. My clients say that I am able to understand and relate to their situations quickly, providing them with clear ideas for strategies in working towards resolution. Therapy is attending to the mind, body and spirit therefore I use a holistic approach in the work I do.

I received my master's degree in social work in 2009 and have been an LICSW (licensed independent clinical social worker) since 2012. I recently completed specialized training in the area perinatal mood disorders and received my PMH-C (perinatal mental health certification) in February 2020. I have worked in a variety settings, such as, child welfare, policy development, domestic violence, clinical settings, and hospital settings. My areas of specialty include: grief and loss, life transitions, depression, anxiety, trauma, and maternal mental health.

I am happy to interact with you in whatever manner you are most comfortable - video, phone or text. My availability is evenings and weekends. I believe the right fit is key to a helpful therapy experience, please feel free to reach out and I will be happy to explore this option with you.
