Hello Potential Client! My name is Kelly, and I am a licensed mental health counselor working in the state of Florida with over 8 years of experience. I have worked in populations of all ages, particularly adolescents, young adults and middle-aged adults with a wide range of issues relating to depression, anxiety, anger, grief & loss, trauma, abuse, addiction, relationships, parenting, family conflict, blended/foster family, work/career, school, life changes, self-harm, suicidal ideation, self-esteem, felony/probation, LGBTQ, gender identity... and so much more! My counseling style is unique, because I focus on the Relationship with my client. I believe that once a Genuine Connection is established, Trust can then take place, and the Sky is the limit on what can be accomplished at that point. Without a connection, there is no foundation to stand on. My clients have described me as ""very easy to talk to."" My approach combines Cognitive Behavioral, Strength-Based, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, as well as Wellness therapies tailored to meet your needs. I became a counselor, because I truly Care about people. I meet my clients where they are at and without judgement. I am a Survivor of my own traumas, and am solid proof that it doesn't matter where you came from and what you've been through in life, you can still have the life you so Desire. All that matters is where you go from here. I truly believe that there's a Better life out there for everyone if.. 1) You truly Want it , and 2) You are willing to put forth the Commitment and Effort it takes in order to achieve it.
