About
What led me to become a therapist was a lifelong curiosity about what makes us who we are as well as an interest in culture. I’m constantly amazed by what people not only survive through but thrive through! After graduating with my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology I moved from North Dakota to Colorado for the mountains and I couldn’t love it more! I worked for 5 years in mental health and as a nanny before completing a 4 year long Master’s program in Multicultural Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have diverse experiences across various mental health settings including hospitals, addiction and recovery centers, and my private practice Wild Transformations which I established in 2018. I have experience facilitating both individual therapy and group counseling and see clients across both telehealth and in person. My approach to therapy is strengths-based where I consider you the expert of what works for you and what doesn’t, and myself the expert of mental health and the process of change and healing. When counseling is at its best, I find this powerful combination leads people to the best version of themselves and therefore better equipped to connect to themselves and others. I support my clients in this endeavor using a mixture of talk therapy, mindfulness techniques where I have my clients name how and where they notice emotions in their body, and a well researched trauma-resolution modality called EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) to help people unlearn negative beliefs about themselves and develop more positive ones in order to let go of old hurts and move forward in life feeling more ready to connect. I look forward to witnessing your next wild transformation!
