About

Thank you for reaching out! I am Keli Hemingway, a trauma-informed licensed clinical therapist, and I'd be honored to help you. I provide video sessions only. I do not provide chat sessions because I have found clients who want to chat are not very motivated for change. I'm accepting new clients for day sessions only. If you are able to attend your sessions M-F 9 - 5 then please read on. If you need evenings or weekends you can request another therapist and you may be able to find someone to accommodate your need. Find A Therapist sessions are 30 minutes by default. Once you are an established client and I have seen that you are committed to therapy, I can block off two sessions and provide you with 45-minute sessions. The maximum time Find A Therapist allows per day is 45-minutes. I do request a minimum of 24-hour notice of cancellation for 30 minutes sessions and a 48- hour notice for 45-minute sessions. Thank you in advance for this.

Our therapeutic relationship is significant to me. Therefore, please feel comfortable being completely honest and direct with me. I want you to feel safe expressing any thoughts, feelings, and beliefs without fear of being judged. I will not judge you. Instead, I interpret anything you share with me as information that may help me assist you more profoundly.

I am the type of therapist who is skilled and trained in helping you heal old patterns of behaviors, problems, limitations, feelings, and emotions that no longer serve you. I am a transformational therapist who will help you resolve your specific issues. The clients who appreciate my help the most are the ones who really want to move past being stuck and heal at a deep level.

I have been a seeker of knowledge in improving our human condition since I was a small child. It is the only thing I have ever wanted to do. I believe this kind of work is my calling; therefore, I decided to pursue my education to fulfill my life purpose to help people transform their lives. I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work. I have over thirty years of experience and have worked in behavioral health hospitals, prisons, juvenile detention centers, community-based outpatient treatment centers, emergency departments, medical hospitals, psychiatric emergency services, substance abuse/detox centers, behavioral health insurance, and private practice.

I am trained in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Integrative Eye Movement Therapy ™, Neurolinguistic Programming, Mindfulness-Based Therapies, Interpersonal Therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique, Hypnotherapy/Hypnoanalysis, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy as well as many other forms of therapy.

I have over twenty-five years of experience helping people achieve their goals and improve their lives using traditional psychotherapy and/or clinical hypnosis. I have worked with adults, adolescents, and children. In the area of hypnotherapy, I have successfully performed over 15,000 clinical hypnosis sessions. I am also trained in using “food as medicine” to heal the body and brain/mind.

I approach every client as a remarkable individual with different preferences to therapeutic intervention styles. I will find out what your preferences are and work within your comfort level. Then, we can move as slowly or quickly in the process as you desire. Some people are interested in clinical hypnosis, and others are not. I respect your choice and will never pressure you to try an intervention you don’t desire. Clinical hypnosis does yield much more powerful, quick, and definitive results than traditional psychotherapy, but it doesn’t mean that it’s for everyone.

When it comes to our professional relationship, I consider myself honored that you are allowing me to help you have a better life. I believe it is important that we work as a team and establish clear goals at the onset of treatment for the positive changes in your life that you desire. We may decide to alter these goals as we work together. To ensure that you achieve your established therapy goals (psychotherapy and/or clinical hypnosis), I will constantly reassess your progress and tweak your treatment with your approval. We are in this together, and we will have a collaborative relationship.
