I have over 19 years in the mental health field. I graduated from Winston Salem State University with a Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling. Today you are one step closer to a new you where you feel empowered and on a positive path to growth and well-being. My goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating.
We can't change difficult situations of the past, but we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. My counseling approach is primarily Solution- Focused Therapy, Reality Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Although I lean on particular theories, counseling is not a "one size fits all" model and therefore, counseling sessions will be tailored to meet your individual needs.
During therapy, you can gain the tools and techniques to help with personal healing and work through everyday struggles to achieve a balanced and fulfilling lifestyle. The goal is to focus on your needs to work through difficulties by talking through your problems and creating possible solutions that you can incorporate in every aspect of your life.
