As Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz seeks for what is “over the rainbow” on the yellow brick road – she discovers her brain, heart and courage to help her persevere and overcome fear although, she found the qualities were within herself from the very beginning. The desires or solutions for which we yearn or search for outside of ourselves – are often already within us – we just may need help in reconnecting or recreating our true and authentic selves again. As a licensed marriage and family therapist, I believe in incorporating an eclectic style of various therapeutic approaches. I hold a master’s degree in counseling psychology with a specialization in marriage and family therapy from National University (San Diego, CA), an associate’s degree from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in visual communications (Los Angeles, CA) and bachelors (BA) in mass communications and minor in theatre arts from University of Iowa (Iowa City, IA). I work and collaborate with adolescents and adults ranging from various cultural and diverse backgrounds. I would be honored to help you rediscover, reconnect and renovate your unique inner strengths on your own life journey – wherever your own road may take you.
