Hello and Welcome! I am so glad that you took the time to come see what I have to offer you so that we can start your healing journey! I am Katrina Howard and I am a Licensed Clinical Independent Social Worker in the states of Florida and South Carolina. I have more than 12 years in the mental health field and I have a Masters Degree in Social Work and graduated with the highest honors from Florida State University. I have a passion to help individuals and families work through their problems/issues so they can decrease their stress levels and continue to be successful citizens within the community. I am currently a Suicide Prevention Social Worker and I work heavily in crisis management.

I have worked within a variety of settings, both inpatient and outpatient and I have experience with adults, adolescents, children and families. My specialty is in crisis management, treating depression, anxiety, trauma, anger, couple's therapy and adjustment disorders. My treatment approach is eclectic because I feel the mind, body & soul should be healed in order for a person to feel better because they are all connected. I use a variety of treatment practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing and Strengths Based Therapy.

I know that online therapy is fairly new and it can be scary to share your most inner deepest, darkest moments with someone you don't know. I just want you to know that I am a laid back therapist who meets her clients where they are and I tailor treatment based on my clients needs.
