About

I am a Professional Counselor licensed in Kentucky. I attended Lindsey Wilson College where I then began my journey as a counselor working with adults in a Psychiatric Hospital. I have also gained experience working with a wide range of clients with ranges of concerns. These populations include children, teenagers and families with concerns ranging from Depression, Anxiety, Substance Use, ADHD, parenting problems and ODD. I have also helped those who have experienced trauma and am currently working towards being certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

My counseling style is empathetic and client centered, so you will hear me ask a lot about your thoughts about the work we are doing. I utilize skills and techniques from the theories/methods of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy. I know that each individual is different, so they may need different sets of skills, so each treatment plan and dialog is tailored to meet your individual needs.

My hopes are that seeking Therapy for your mental health needs becomes as normal as seeing a physician for your physical health needs, it just takes courage to take the first step.
