About

Welcome! I admire your courage for taking this next step toward taking care of you. We are all experiencing a collective trauma during this time in our history and on top of that, you also have to deal with your own personal difficulties. This is a very difficult time and it does take a tremendous amount of courage to reach out for help. I thank you for considering me to be part of this personal journey toward your own authentic healing.

A little bit about me - I have a master's degree in Clinical Counseling from Bellevue University (2016). I have been working with trafficking survivors and addiction for the last five years. My passion is trauma and I have spent the last several years understanding how to heal from past trauma. I have training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dissociation, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and somatic psychology. I also am certified as a yoga teacher (RYT-200) because I learned early on that trauma lives in the body as Bessel Van Der Kolk writes in his book, "The Body Keeps the Score." My approach is to meet each client where they are at on their journey and help them uncover all the barriers within themselves that keep them from living their best life. I take a client-centered approach, knowing that each and every one of us has an internal wise mind. This wise mind already has all the answers we need. Sometimes, trauma, difficult past relationships, old patterns, etc. get in the way of us connecting to this wisdom. I have spent many years understanding the different parts of ourselves and helping these parts of ourselves integrate, so we can become our true authentic self, present in this moment and capturing what life has to offer.

It's an exciting and scary decision to dive into your own authentic healing. My trauma-informed approach has helped many clients achieve the goals they have set. I am skilled at helping my clients:
-Process trauma,
-Enhance personal relationships,
-Cultivate self-worth and self-acceptance,
-Establish a calm mind,
-Practice mindfulness and embodiment,
-Gain empowerment,
-Let go of shame, regret and resentments,
- Integrate the many parts of the personality,
-Communicate with compassion for themselves and others to get their needs met and connect to the ones who have earned their trust
-And many other strategies that improve their overall quality of life.

Wherever you are on your journey, I know you are headed in the right direction. You are worth all the happiness and peace.
