About
Hello, and thank you for taking the time to learn more about me! I am Kathleen Bazile and as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC), I believe that total health comes from healing the mind, body, and spirit. My goal is to not only help my clients understand and become educated about mental health issues but also find valuable coping skills that are unique to them, so they can get one step closer to living a more authentic, healthy, and fulfilling life. I especially enjoy helping young women, who are going through psychological distress. My mission is to help women discover their authentic and empowered selves and create a life that allows them to thrive instead of just surviving. I practice integrative and evidence-based methods and have been formally trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Hypnotherapy.
After fourteen years, I have provided effective psychotherapy to various clients with a diverse range of mental health severities and difficulties including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, sexual trauma, low self-esteem, grief and loss, major life changes, and other emotional problems. My latest training has been working with veterans and getting a better understanding of the role military culture plays in the mental health of the soldiers and their families. I strive in creating a safe, non-judgmental, trusting environment, and therapeutic relationship so that you are willing to let me walk beside you on your journey and practice the changes we develop together.
My journey in counseling began at Rollins College, where I earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health. My quest for excellence led me to Mercer University, achieving a doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision.
When I don't have my therapist hat on, I can be found out in nature, and having laughs with family and friends.
I look forward to walking with you on your journey of growth. Change, whether internal or external, is never easy. But in order to be our best selves it is a necessity. However, find comfort in knowing that you don't have to go about it alone :-)
