I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker credentialed in the state of North Carolina since 2005. My primary interests are working in the areas of anxiety, grief and loss. This would include those experiencing stress due to medical concerns, the death of a loved one or those experiencing compassion fatigue due to caring for a sick or disabled family member. I also have experience working individuals with parenting issues and parents caring for a disabled child.

I think the most important part of counseling is forming a trusting and caring relationship with my clients. One of my goals will be to create a safe space where your concerns are heard and your feelings are validated. My approach to counseling includes the use of cognitive behavioral and solution focused therapy as well as mindfulness.

Taking the first step in seeking counseling can be scary and hard. This is especially true if you have always seen yourself as a strong person; a person who is able to handle his or her own problems. Sometimes you just get tired. I’m here to listen. I’d be honored to work with you when you are ready.
