About

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Oklahoma with 9 years of experience who specializes in working with a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, life changes and self-esteem. I enjoy working with clients to set boundaries in their lives, manage their relationships, learn coping skills for anxiety and build confidence. I have also worked extensively with the LGBTQ population in my private practice, providing a safe place for support and affirmation.

After completing my Master’s of Community Counseling at the University of Oklahoma, I began my career working with the severely mentally ill population in Tulsa. I continued to work in several settings including inpatient hospitals, outpatient clinics and finally opened a private practice where I currently see clients. In addition to private practice, I have presented at local Universities speaking on the topic of suicide. I have also supervised and mentored new graduates working on their LPC license and worked in administration in various inpatient psychiatric settings.

My therapeutic approach is to provide support, feedback and challenge clients to reach their full potential. I use techniques from various orientations including cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, along with meditation and mindfulness. My casual and humorous style tends to help all clients become comfortable in the counseling setting quickly and my goal for you is to feel heard, cared for and appreciated.
