I am here to help! My name is Kate Murphy and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who has been practicing for 39 years.
I feel very honored when people trust me with their most inner, personal thoughts and feelings with the hope that I will be able to assist them in reaching their goals.

To this end, I believe I can. I am trained in CBT, DBT, EFT, Gestault, Client-Centered, Schema, Trauma focused, Solution-focused, Reality Therapy. I also am trained in EMDR and Exposure Therapy, That being said, people today are very busy and don't have years to find the answers we wanted yesterday. I most commonly use Solution-focused therapy as most people have arrived at a life enhancing solution and can get on living a life they want within 12 or less sessions. This style is successful for resolving anger, communication, decision-making, parenting, relationship issues, addictions, and many more. I give homework assignments each week, if you are willigng which will allow you to practice the techniques and skills we discussed in session. The following week we review how the skills worked for you and continue if your results were positive. I also frequently want you to evaluate your satisfaction with my services, so that I can meet your expectations as you are the driver of your services.

How do you know who is the right fit for you with hundreds of clinicians to choose from? I believe all individuals can be in a better place after connecting with a clinician. If you like someone you believes in your success, who has a sense of humor, who takes the common sense approach to resolution, use clear and easy to understand techniques, I am that clincian.
