I am a licensed counselor in private practice in Vermont with a background and interest in archetypal and depth psychology, compassion/mindfulness- based practices, eco-psychology and nature-connecting practices, and spirituality & wisdom traditions. Ancient wisdom combined with scientific, evidence-based practice is what informs my work... however, when I work with clients, I orient my approach to what feels right and true for you, aligning and supporting you in your own unique individuality, agency, and insight. I want to support the success of your most authentic and best self, as defined by YOU. And if you don't know what that is yet, I want to help you uncover and discover it. Who are you? Let's figure out what it will take to get you there, and let's approach it with compassion, a generous spirit, and a forgiving/gentle yet determined effort . I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, lgbtq+ related issues (including gender identity and expression), motivation, self confidence, life transitions, grief & loss, as well as deep and soulful topics such as finding meaning and purpose in life, facing climate change anxiety, fears and despair about the state of the world, and existential issues such as mortality. In my work, I strive to be conscious of my own biases and privilege, as I value respect and justice for all oppressed, marginalized people and of the planet. I strive for the social/cultural healing and repair that is required for the healing of our world. My work as a therapist is to encourage and support each individual client in what matters most to them, allowing you to lead the way, but standing beside you as an experienced and supportive counselor.
