My approach to therapy considers the client as made up of three parts: mind, body and soul. Therapy treats symptoms from each or all parts that keep the client from living well; the focus being on client strengths to treat the symptoms. I am a client centered and solution focused therapist. Talking about the past is important, but it does not drive the therapy. It simply helps a client gain insight into triggers and faulty perceptions. I, as the therapist, serve as a coach and mentor allowing the client to drive the therapy toward meeting realistic and attainable goals. Identifying obstacles and achieving goals are important within the therapeutic process.
