Katie Chesanek, MA, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Connecticut. She earned both her Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in psychology from Central Connecticut State University. She received her Master’s Degree in social work from the University of Connecticut. Katie is a trauma informed therapist who specializes in areas including sexual assault, intimate partner violence, foster care and adoption, grief and loss, and adjustment to illness. Katie believes in the power of therapy in healing from trauma and is trained in a variety of treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Family Systems Therapy. She believes that therapy should not be a one size fits all approach and will work to provide the intervention that will best fit your needs.
