I graduated from West Virginia University in 2013 with a Master's in Counseling and a Certification in Trauma therapy through Intensive Trauma Therapy in Morgantown, WV. I have 5 years of experience treating trauma and stress-based disorders focusing on adolescents, transitional-aged youth and their families from across the state of West Virginia. I have addressed issues including PTSD, Anxiety, Social Anxiety, Grief/Loss, Depression, Anger, ADHD, Stress-related disorder, low self-esteem, mood swings, family issues, parenting, sibling issues, unexpected pregnancy, relationship issues, and more. While my practice has been based working with adolescents and young adults, my techniques are applicable for all ages.

Using a person-focused perspective, I focus my practice on providing education as well as validating and normalizing experiences in order to assist a client reach their personal therapy goals. I feel that therapy can be long or short term based on a person's individual needs and based on what they want to achieve in therapy. Ultimately, my goal as a therapist is to work with each client to a place where they feel they do not need therapy services any longer due to feeling increased confidence and satisfaction in achieving their personal goals. I use modalities including CBT, Trauma-focused CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and I use elements of Internal Family Systems. I like to think out of the box for my clients, and use a deep sense of empathy to relate and build rapport in the therapeutic relationship.
