I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Masters in Social Work from Tulane University. I have been providing psychotherapy for nearly a decade. I work with individuals, couples, and families experiencing issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship problems, trauma, and addictions. At the foundation of my work is the belief in the inherent goodness of others and the understanding that people are doing the best that they can with the tools that they have at their disposal. I employ the latest psychotherapeutic techniques that will allow us to build a strategy to create a happier you.
The most important objective in my practice is that you feel safe and comfortable discussing your life with me. I will ask you questions such as what your goals are for therapy, in what ways would you like your life to be different, and how you have resolved problems in the past.
From there, we will work to gain new insights, establish healthy patterns, and resolve any unconscious issues that are blocking your growth and happiness. Those coming in for couples’ or family therapy will essentially experience the same process, with the added emphasis on developing communication skills between partners and/or family members.
