Hi! My name is Katelyn, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) practicing in North Carolina. I graduated from East Carolina University with my Master's in Social Work and currently work with patients in an inpatient psychiatric hospital setting. I have been working as a Social Worker for 3+ years.
I work with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness such as Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder, and have experience in working with individuals with Depression, Anxiety, and Personality and Mood disorders. I enjoy working with individuals using Cognitive-Behavioral approaches, but also adapt to keep it client-centered so that we can build rapport and establish realistic goals that meet your current needs, whatever that may be. Mental health is so important and I applaud you for prioritizing yourself and your health!

You are welcome to message me anytime through Find A Therapist. The frequency with which you can have access to a counselor to work through day to day emotions and problem solving is extremely beneficial for most and a nice change from traditional outpatient counseling. I usually check messages daily and engage in sessions Saturday-Monday offering messaging, live chat, phone sessions and occasional video sessions. Please note that what you see in my calendar may not reflect my only availability so you may want to check that out with me through messaging first if you do not see a time that works for you listed.
