About

I am a Marriage Family Therapist who is licensed in both California and Washington with over 12 years of experience providing individual and group therapy to teens, couples, families, and individuals. I have previous experience providing therapy to clients in their homes, in an office, and also in residential settings.

I have worked with a wide range of clients from different backgrounds and I currently hold a specialty in working with individuals who have intellectual disabilities and my clinical focus is in trauma/crisis stabilization.

I have worked with clients who seek treatment for a variety of symptoms and concerns including, depression, PTSD, physical trauma and emotional abuse, grief and loss, attachment disorders, anxiety, parenting skills, anger management, couples issues, phase of life stressors, anxiety, panic disorder, phobias, and life review.

My goal when working with all clients is to provide a client centered approach and create a therapeutic environment where both the client and I can respectfully explore the sensitive nature of the topics and goals the client brings to treatment. It is in that environment where difficult conversations can happen and working through issues will take place. We will also collaborate as a team to create a tailored treatment plan, setting achievable goals to meet the your personal needs.

My counseling style is collaborative, interactive and client centered. My approach combines, CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) humanistic, solution focused therapy, narrative therapy, exposure therapy, attachment work, emotionally focused couples therapy, crisis stabilization, the trauma resiliency model, and psycho education, motivational interviewing.
