My approach to therapy is one that is non-judgmental, person-centered, and collaborative. I have experience with a variety of mental illnesses and disorders, especially ones that are trauma-based. Life is also full of humor and warmth; I incorporate that into my practice as well. I aim to be a support system for clients who are going through the experience of daily life, as well as provide them with psycho-education so they may further learn about themselves. You, the client, are the writer of your own story and it is my goal to support you through any personal work, trauma processing, diagnosis, or disabilities you experience. I have experience as a university professor in a Ph.D. program. I am well-versed in technology, therapy tools/apps, media, pop-culture, social media, memes, etc. I view life as a journey, and I provide clients with a well-rounded and team-oriented approach to therapy. The therapeutic interventions and modalities I utilize are based on clinical research. My clinical experiences as a psychotherapist include university settings, community-based mental health agencies, non-profit mental health organizations, and Special Education. My specialties include trauma, anxiety and depression, phase of life transitions, college students, legal/medical trauma, and disabilities, etc. I am a disability advocate. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and elderly populations. I look forward to working with you!
