About

First of all, I am really glad you found your way here. It takes courage and strength to seek out support and to ask for help. You are in a great place to begin this journey.

We all go through ups and downs throughout life. There is beauty and there is pain. There are times we all need a little support to get through the tougher times. Having someone who is compassionate, non-judgmental and unbiased to talk to can be the key to unlocking what is already inside you, waiting to be discovered.

When I think about why I became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist over 13 years ago, I remember having a strong desire to walk alongside other human beings as they overcome obstacles and unlock their full potential. I have had the privilege of working with families, couples, individuals, parents, children ages 0-18 and their parents, and adults. Areas I have helped people address include, but are not limited to: parenting issues, pre-natal mental health and peri-natal mental health, foster care, trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, challenges stemming from family of origin, domestic violence, women's issues, sexual assault, relationship issues, life stage challenges, attention and focus challenges, challenges related to Autism, work/life balance, anxiety, depression, stress, chronic illness, conflict resolution, communication struggles. I have a background in child development and family relations, human development and have worked in daycare settings, foster care, school settings, and with those who experience intellectual and developmental disabilities.

My goals are to meet you where you are, listen to you, and to understand what you are wanting to accomplish from our time together. I utilize several models of therapy that include Solution-Focused Therapy, Experiential Therapy, and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. I have learned a lot about trauma and its impact on us. I am a rostered Child-Parent Psychotherapy provider, which focuses on attachment, parenting strategies, and overcoming traumatic experiences. We will work together to determine what your goals are and identify what fits best for you so that you are able to achieve the goals you set.

I hope you will consider taking this next step in your journey, and I would be happy to join you!
