Hello, my name is Karlee Roberts and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Illinois. I received my Master of Social Work from Syracuse University with a specialization in Clinical Practice with Medically Underserved Communities. In addition, trained for a year in the Marriage and Family Therapy program and was a student therapist on the Transgender Treatment Team. I have several years experience in outpatient mental health working with youth and adults with various diagnosis including: Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, Personality Disorders, ADHD, Autism, and Gender Dysphoria.

My approach to therapy is a combination of Solution Focused, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. Your story is an important part of who you are, and I always feel honored when my clients trust me enough to share that story. I am a strength based therapist, and believe in helping you become empowered so that you can reach the goals you have set for yourself, no matter how big or small they are.

I will be one of your biggest cheerleaders, will celebrate your victories, even when you don't think they are worth celebrating. The following is one of my favorite quotes and it has motivated my through some very tough times, "The moment you doubt whether you can fly, you cease forever to be able to do it" (J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan). It's hard to take the first step and tell someone you need help, but you've done it and that means you still believe you can fly.
