Hello! I am Dr. Kari, a Licensed Psychologist with 8 years of full-time clinical experience. I consider therapy to be a partnership of two people working together to reach your goals. I have walked with people of all ages through life's stressors and crossroads, and helped them develop and practice adaptive coping strategies for managing the difficulties they may be experiencing. Everyone has a story and a context, and understanding that context can help to develop acceptance, understanding, and foster motivation for change.
I have experience in private practice, veteran's health, as well as geriatric and post-acute/skilled nursing facilities. I utilize a variety of treatment modalities, including cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, acceptance and commitment, solution-focused, interpersonal, and trauma-focused. I am happy to work with you to figure out the method that resonates best with you to reach your goals.
