I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida with 8 years of experience working in addictions with trauma for both men and women.I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, stress and anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, parenting problems, legal issues, self esteem and personality disorders. I have also helped both men and women who have suffered from physical and emotional abuse. I have worked in both individual and group settings, family and couples counseling.
My treatment approach is person centered, offering an open , compassionate and safe space for my clients to feel comfortable and understood. My belief is that each client is unique and individual therefore my approach to counseling will be built around the needs of my client. I am a warm caring individual who understands that building a trusting foundation is the most important part of the client and counselor relationship. I am trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, cognitive processing therapy, EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy), mindfulness and humanistic therapy.
