About

My name is Kanika Shelly, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional. My practice, called Jamaa Healing Collective Wellness Services, reflects my collaborative and integrationist approach to therapy. I employ various methods to facilitate healing, including treatment, trauma-focused family integration, holistic treatments, and strength-based approaches. I have over ten years of experience as an Associate and Therapist and am licensed to practice in California. My work has focused primarily on marginalized communities, and I am passionate about helping families thrive. I believe in working from a strength-based perspective and encouraging individuals to see themselves as perfect, whole, and complete beings within the context of their family. Healthy families create healthy individuals who produce healthy connections and ultimately heal global communities. I look forward to the opportunity to collaborate with you.
