About
Congratulations on taking this courageous step towards self-healing! It is so important to find a therapist that you connect with, so here is a little bit about me. I am a Marriage and Family Therapist with over 22 years of experience, and am currently based and licensed in the state of Arizona, however I began my career as a clinician in Los Angeles, California in 1999. I am warm, down-to-earth, non-judgemental, compassionate and client-centered. My sessions tend to be Solution Focused, but I conceptualize from a Psychodynamic perspective and also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Narrative Therapy techniques. I see my clients as the experts on themselves, and partner with them in uncovering the strengths and resources they already possess to deal with whatever they are going through. I work with my clients on developing coping skills and new ways of thinking about the interpersonal, relationship or life issues they are facing. My experience includes providing therapy to children, teens and families in a non-profit agency, being a clinical supervisor to clinicians working toward their license, working in an Intensive Outpatient Program, and having a private practice where I primarily see adults, couples and teens. Issues I have experience with are family of origin trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, narcissism and addiction. I have extensive practice working with women in building their self-esteem, confidence and finding their voice in relationships, careers, and parenting. As the mom to a child with special needs and from my experience leading parent groups, I am also well versed in the world of IEPs, stress management and caregiver fatigue for moms and dads who have a child needing extra support. I have learned so much from the clients I have the privilege to serve. If I sound like I might be good fit, I look forward to hearing from you. Either way, I wish you all the best on your path to self-healing.
