About
Kaela Pangburn, MA, LMFT 128505. I believe therapy should be highly individualized and client-centered. My goal is to build a strong therapeutic relationship so that clients can feel safe enough to explore the most difficult parts of themselves. My approach I provide an honest and empathetic approach to treatment. I will work with you to help you understand how you function internally and externally. I value client’s reclaiming power over their bodies and lives. By using EMDR, IFS, and somatic principles I can assist you in building a greater capacity for self-awareness and regulation. My focus I have a wide range of experience when it comes to clients. While I specialize in treating complex trauma, PTSD, depression, and anxiety, I am confident in supporting clients with a variety of mental health issues. I have experience working with diverse populations including BIPOC, Latinx, LGBTQIA+, as well as non-binary and trans clients. My communication style While I always utilize a kind approach, I am honest and direct with clients. My role as a clinician is to support clients in changing their lives and addressing difficult issues. Honesty and kind supportive feedback are necessary means to support change. My journey to mental healthcare I have been in human services since my career began; working with children on the Autism Spectrum, as well as with adults with Developmental disabilities and special needs. I knew from there I could further expand my reach being able to work with all kinds of people therapeutically. From there, I have enjoyed working with high-acuity populations in psychiatric hospital settings, foster youth, and being able to see clients privately from all types of incomes. I think mental health should be accessible and affordable no matter what your income is. My goals for you I like to set goals within the first session and revisit them on a monthly basis. I like for clients to identify and prioritize goals.
