Hello everyone! I'm so excited you've taken a big first step in making positive changes.

My name is Kacie Brown and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania. In addition to this, I am also a Nationally Certified Counselor and Certified School Counselor. I have worked providing mental health and drug in alcohol services in a community outpatient clinic as well as in the school setting. I have experience with working children, adolescents, and adults in individual, couple, family, and group sessions.

My primary approach to the counseling process is viewed through a person-centered lens. I believe in building a strong therapeutic to provide my clients with an authentic experience where they are able to feel heard, empowered, valued, and understood. I understand that each individual has different factors in their lives, so I don't practice a strict 'one orientation' approach; rather I utilize multiple approaches to best suit my clients- offering each individual an experience that is tailored to themselves and their own individual needs.

I provide trauma informed care utilizing theories and techniques from multiple orientations including: Holistic Psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Energy Psychology, Positive Psychology, Interpersonal Process Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Crisis Intervention, Psychoeducation, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Family Systems Therapy among other modalities.

I am available for short and long term counseling and I work nights and weekends to accommodate those with varying or late schedules.
