About

My name is Justy. I have been a clinical social worker working as a hospital medical social worker/ discharge planner for the past 10 years. My experience lies primarily within discharging planning. However, during my years of experience, I have come across various situations and scenarios, which have allowed my to practice what I went to school for. From palliative care, to day to day crises, to grief and loss, to relationship issues, family dynamics, and as of most recently, hardships brought on by the pandemic. Working in a hospital during the pandemic has been one of the most scariest and most rewarding times in my career.

In the fast paced setting of the healthcare industry, it’s often hard to sit down to provide therapy as much as I’d like to. Having gotten my LCSW 4 years ago, I finally decided it was time to give back. I chose social work to make a difference. I know I can’t save the world, but if I can make a difference for at least one person, I know I will have lived up to be who and what a therapist is. Each day, I find myself learning more about others and myself.

I look forward to working with my clients, helping them grow, while I also grow with them.
