Hello! My name is June and I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker with over 20 years of experience providing therapy services. I have worked in a wide range of therapeutic settings including: inpatient psychiatric hospitalization, partial and intensive outpatient care, the Ohio prison system and community mental health. I work with clients affected by depression, anxiety, bipolar and trauma challenges from individual, group and family work.

I have lived my entire life in Ohio. I received my undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice/Sociology at Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio and my Masters degree in Social Work at The Ohio State University.

My approach to therapy is client centered: clients are the experts on their lives and determine the direction and depth of therapy. Through a strengths-based and solutions-focused lens, I draw on multiple treatment modalities to guide clients in identifying strengths and developing treatment plans that accomplish their goals. Through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I assist clients in exploring relationships among thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to aid in discovering dysfunctional thought patterns leading to self-destructive behaviors and beliefs. Using Solution Focused therapy I am able to assist clients in determining how to resolve a problem in a way they feel comfortable. I believe that everybody can benefit from counseling if they are just willing to be open and honest with themselves and the therapist.

Outside of my work as a therapist, I am involved with a Relay for Life team and coach youth soccer. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends and traveling.
