Julie Simmons is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). She earned her Masters in Social Work from Simmons College in Boston, MA, and then went on to do a fellowship at Children’s Hospital in Boston in outpatient psychiatry, with a focus on preventing depression in adolescents.

With over 15 years of experience in the field, Julie has worked in a variety of settings, including schools, hospitals, inpatient, home-based work, and a military base. She works with children and adolescents as well as adults, and offers individual, family, and couples therapy. Julie works with clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues at any stage of life, and chronic health issues.

Julie uses a strength based approach and works hard to develop a positive relationship with clients to create a safe and supportive environment that helps to empower them to make the changes they want to see in their lives. She uses a multi-faceted approach to therapy to meet each client’s needs.
