I have been honored to walk beside those who have decided to take the journey into psychotherapy for twenty-nine years as a licensed therapist. I offer a warm, welcoming, compassionate and collaborative therapeutic experience for adults looking to build new skills and meaningful change in their lives and relationships. Together we can work to achieve goals to resolve/reduce distressing symptoms of anxiety, depression, grief/loss, trauma, stress and adjustment. I recognize the courage it can take to request assistance. I recall the difficulty when I called to set an appointment with a psychotherapist following graduation with my masters degree. It indeed required courage! I wondered if I would feel comfortable? However the therapeutic experience was well worth the price of my initial apprehension. It is said, “Courage is feeling fear, and taking action in the face of fear.” My professional background includes 20 years of providing psychotherapy for individuals, couples and families in my private practice. I then ventured out taking a job with a hospice- which was a bucket list styled inspiration. Subsequently I began an adventure of providing mental health care for prisoners. I am so very pleased to have circled back providing care in a private practice setting in the community! Looking forward to meeting you and discussing what you are experiencing.
