Hello! I am a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor. I earned my Master's degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Art Therapy from Marygrove College, also in Detroit.

I have 20 years of experience working with adults, adolescents and children with severe mental illness, co-occurring disorders, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, severe trauma, autism spectrum disorders, and intellectual disabilities. I have worked in a variety of settings, including community mental health agencies, juvenile justice facilities, rehabilitation facilities, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, a mental health managed care provider network, and most recently, in government administration.

As a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, I specialize in working with individuals with disabilities to help them overcome barriers that prevent them from finding meaningful employment, and living independent, successful lives. I have extensive experience in Social Security Disability, Transferable Skills Analysis, Return to Work criteria, Workplace Accommodations, Stages of Change for Employment, and Career Counseling.

My counseling style utilizes an integrated approach including, person-centered, cognitive behavioral techniques, Motivational Interviewing, Stages of Change, career counseling, and art therapy techniques to help individuals learn effective coping skills in order to achieve their goals.
