I offer a warm, down-to-earth, and empathic presence. My philosophy is that good therapy begins with developing a trusting and respectful relationship with my clients. I create a safe space where therapy is collaborative and focused on the unique needs of each individual with genuine respect for their personal values, choices, and lifestyles. While my primary approach to counseling is relational and person-centered, I also draw on mindfulness and other elements of dialectical behavioral therapy to promote a stronger sense of self and how we relate to the world around us. Additionally, I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing and Accelerated Resolution Therapy. I support clients in their efforts to transform the effects of trauma and grief, address relationship issues, and manage symptoms of anxiety and depression. In my spare time, I enjoy being outdoors and spending time with my family and our two dogs. I strongly believe in giving back to the community and enjoy supporting local organizations through volunteer work and advocacy. A lifelong learner, I often invest in opportunities to learn and enhance my skills as a therapist so that I may better serve my clients. I believe that deepening our understanding of mental health and wellness helps us create a better road map toward being the best, most authentic version of ourselves.
