About

Julie Blythe, Therapy Julie Blythe, R.N., M. Div, LCSW, CCTP. Hello and welcome to Julie Blythe, Therapy. I am glad you are here. In order to know whether I am a good fit for you, let me tell you about myself and my understanding of what it means to be your therapist. In my past lives, I have been an OB/Gyne/NICU and Pediatric R.N. My specialty working as an OB R.N. was working with families whose babies did not survive. Having a baby is a joyful thing until it goes wrong. That is where I came in. I worked with these families in the hospital and ran a monthly SHARE group and a Pregnancy After Loss group. I left nursing and went to Eden Theological Seminary where I graduated with my Master’s in Divinity. I worked as an ordained Presbyterian pastor and chaplain for 15 years. Again, as a chaplain, my specialty was working with families who lost their children. I also have my Pastoral Care Specialist certification. I did a lot of pastoral counseling during my time as a pastor. I realized that counseling was truly my passion. So, I went back to school – again! I received my Master’s in Social Work and have been working as a therapist for the last five years. I have my CCTP certification meaning that I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I am currently working toward getting my CCTP II. In my practice I see adults and children aged 10 and up. I am willing to consider seeing younger children on a case by case basis. I also do couple’s therapy. I am happy to include your spirituality in your therapy but you will be the one who brings that up. There are some clients who may be nervous about the fact that I am an ordained minister. I want to assure you that you take the lead on any discussions about religion/spirituality. I treat people with the following: Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar I and II, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, ADHD/ADD, Adjustment Disorder and Panic Disorder among other conditions. If you choose to see me as a therapist, you will find that I am a warm, caring person. I will tailor your therapy to your condition and life situation. I do my very best to be available to my clients during business hours and for emergencies. I hope that you will consider me for your mental health needs.
