Hi there, I'm Julianne! Hello and welcome! I am Juli Sims, LCSW 28368 (CA). I have been a licensed clinical social worker for over 10 years. Throughout this time, I have worked with children, adults, and families. I specialize in working with individuals who have experienced trauma, specifically childhood trauma. I am strength-based and compassionate. I do the work every day for myself, having experienced post-partum depression and anxiety. My approach I am primarily strength-based and solution-focused. I do meet people where they are and will bring in aspects of cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectic behavioral therapy, or narrative therapy. Whatever works to help someone along a path to wellness. My focus The bulk of my experience is working with women and women's issues, such as menopause, relationship issues, trauma/abuse, daily stressors, self-esteem, parenting, etc. I also have experience working with children and families where children have experienced trauma or neglect. My communication style I do my best to create a welcoming environment. I appreciate humor and use it in my approach to working with individuals and families. I am honest and transparent. My journey to therapy I enjoy helping others. I've been in the social work world for over 25 years, and I found providing therapy to be the most rewarding work for me. I love to see people grow, their resilience, and their strength. It's inspirational. My goals for you Clients lead goal setting. If needed, I can provide guidance and encouragement. I will hold clients to the work if someone needs help staying accountable. My first session with you Initially, we'll discuss what brought someone to therapy, their goals, and I'll explain my method and experience. I am a strong believer in the therapist-client relationship and I want to ensure a client feels comfortable moving forward.
