Hello. My name is Judy Thompson. I have been a licensed marriage and family therapist since 2015. I have experience working with individuals in need of parenting support, personal support, and those experiencing on-going negative impacts of trauma from loss, betrayal, physical, and sexual abuse.
My communication style is supportive and educational.
My approaches include, Cognitive Behavioral (good for improving self-esteem), Family Systems(good for understanding relationship dynamics, Motivational Interviewing (good for facing persistent negative choices), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (good for managing symptoms of trauma such as re-experiencing, anxiety, and avoidance).
My sessions are 25 -45 minutes in length. Subscribers typically schedule sessions for once a week, but are welcome to schedule more frequently.
