At Balm of Gilead Christian Counseling Center, LLC, therapy is approached from a systems perspective. i.e. every facet of life is considered in goal-setting. My clients are therefore able to work towards well-rounded solutions.
In addition to being trained in systemic approaches to therapy, I have also received training in Sand Tray Therapy, and Story-Informed Trauma Therapy (Byron Kehler’s Guiding Survivors of Childhood Trauma through Recovery Model). Depending on what model I am using in session, I may act as a coach, teacher, facilitator, directive expert, or collaborator.
My Christian faith is foundational both personally and in my clinical practice. I am willing to integrate prayer and scripture into sessions for those who share my faith.
