I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with over 20 years of experience working in the field of mental health. I am also a Registered Nurse. I have a passion for assisting people who seek relief from any type of trauma or PTSD, and desire to help those with any chronic emotional or physical pain, anxiety, depression, difficulties at work or with relationship stress. I obtained my Master’s degree in Counseling/Community Psychology from Marist College. What is your approach to therapy? My counseling approach is holistic and genuine. In using the Human Givens framework, I will assist you in identifying resources and coping skills to better meet your physical and emotional needs. I will provide a non-judgmental relationship of trust and confidentiality serving others of any culture, religious belief, sexual orientation or life transition. In therapy, I will listen to your concerns through the use of motivational interviewing and therapy approaches that will meet your unique needs. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you? I am committed to providing options, support, and a plan of care toward your emotional well-being. Sessions may include receiving new coping skills, suggestions on identifying and changing unhealthy patterns and encouragement in understanding your emotional needs and how to use innate resources to meet your physical and emotional needs in balance. I will also assist you in resolving past trauma and the impact it has had on your life.
