I am happy to introduce myself to you. I am Dr. Judy Merritt (Judy). I am a licensed psychologist in PA since 1993, and an ordained Shamanic Psychospiritual Minister and Counselor since 2010 (Venus Rising Institute for Transformation). Over the years working in a solo private practice, group private practice, community mental health, medical office setting, I have worked with a wide range of concerns: depression, anxiety, relationship issues, codependency, family of origin, shadow, career and phase of life challenges, and questions about sacred purpose, the meaning of life, and how to live life 'on purpose'.

My background training, credentialing, experiences, and interests include psychology (developmental, Freudian, Jungian), Drama Therapy, Theatre, Psychodrama, Shamanic Psychospiritual Studies, and Expressive Arts therapies, individual and group psychotherapy.

My style is warm and interactive. I believe we all have our own 'healer within' which knows what the psyche, spirit and soul of each person need for healing; that the desire for and courage to change come from within. I don't 'fix' anyone, rather I experience the change process as a journey, so I am a co-journeyer, sacred witness, and co-facilitator in my clients' personal healing and change processes.
